Shawn McBrien has been practicing law since October, 1986 when he was sworn in by the Tennessee Supreme Court. Shawn is a graduate of Cumberland School of Law at Samford University, where his father attended law school while located in Lebanon.
Upon admittance into practice, Shawn began his career in Chattanooga, Tennessee. In 1987, he and his wife Karen moved to Wyoming, where he passed the Wyoming bar exam and practiced for five years before returning to Lebanon, Tennessee, to be near family.
Shawn has focused his 30+ year career on helping his clients with wills, trusts, estate planning, probate, business development, contract law, business and commercial law/litigation, and family law. Formally trained in Family and Civil Mediation, Shawn regularly mediates family, business, and civil matters.
Shawn is a member of the 15th Judicial Bar Association, the Tennessee Bar Association, the Lebanon Noon Rotary Club, The Glade Church, Ducks Unlimited, Delta Waterfowl, the Middle Tennessee Amateur Retriever Club, Music City Retriever Club, and Trout Unlimited.
He and his wife Karen live in Lebanon and have four adult children.
